Summer is very slow, Birdwise in Israel.
If you still wish to do some Birding- The Golan heights and Mt Hermon in the North is a good option for unique breeders. Another option is Birding in Drinking spots in the south- The NEGEV. Enjoy a couple of pics i have taken: Pin tailed sandgrouse from the Negev and a Black headed Bunting from the Golan Spring has finally starting to kick in......
There are so many interesting and rare birds that i can not write them all. One thing we all need to do : Just go out to the field and Bird. Wish us all a great spring, full with birds. A Black faced Bunting was spotted in Maayan Zvi fishing ponds at the carmel coast. A mega rare bird, second observation to Israel.
4 Red fronted serin were spoted at the Golan heights

rLast few days winter has finally arived to Israel. A stormy weather with high winds and lots of rain hit Israel. For Birders, it is the perfect time to go to do some sea -shore observations - for all the sea birds that the wind make it much more possible to look at. In the different sea shores a lot of sea birds were seen- Brown booby, different skue's, Sabines gull - Those are just a few of the birds that were seen around.
A young Red Breasted Flycatcher was seen today in Yeruham Lake. An early migratory perhaps....Very interesting observation.
An Olive Backed Pipit was seen in Hulda area. A wonderfull rare winter visitor
A male Pied Bushchat was seen yesterday in Hefer Valley. A great finding. Hope he will stay there for winter.
