Prining sandgrouses before drinking from the pond A beautiful male Namaqua Dove coming to the drinking spot in the Negev. Summer is usuallu slow - Birdwise, but due to not having lots of water sites in the negev, the desert Birds usually comming to one main drinking spot.....and that is the perfect time to go and look at them. Summer is very slow, Birdwise in Israel.
If you still wish to do some Birding- The Golan heights and Mt Hermon in the North is a good option for unique breeders. Another option is Birding in Drinking spots in the south- The NEGEV. Enjoy a couple of pics i have taken: Pin tailed sandgrouse from the Negev and a Black headed Bunting from the Golan |
