During last week we encountered some mega rare birds here in Israel.
A Pied Bushchat and Dusky Warbler have been seen in southern Israel in Yeruham Lake. A Pacific golden Plover was seen in Timorim ponds. What a great Autumn it is.....
Attached is a link to a youtube video taken by Yoram Zvik who pictured the Pied Bushchat. Enjoy.

Picture
went yesterday to ring (with Yosef, Rafi & Avner) mainly Desert finches in Beit Shean Valley. There were hundreds of finches, gathering on the fence along 2 ponds. It was a great site, though we caught and ringed only about 20 finches. Its a great bird which we need to continue and study its moulting pattern. In addition to the finches all of the other "Valley" birds such as Black kites, ospreys, red footed falcons, black storks etc.
